I'll be there ....all going well. The 99 Nats in Pirie were great with the biggest lot of quick locals you could imagine. It's a prick of a drive from almost anywhere but at least you can stop in and pay homage at the serial killer Mecca Snowtown on the way.  ;D

Just working on the feral photographer now, nice road trip with the camper, photo's of wild flowers and fauna on the nullabor, she can count the trees.  Stop and let her take piccies of the great freeezing Bight and the occassional white tip that i'll tell her is a whale.  Historical stops like the balladonia pub, Border village pub, ceduna pub, can't but wonder at the amazing Port Auguttter, at 100kms hr.   MMMM I wonder if she'll let me go alone will be bored shitless by then.  Oh look dear another bloody wildflower!!!

Ah well she does take some brilliant MX photo's and loves it so might be on a winner, because therer are wineries within 100kms!! that will definitely take her interest!!!

Crystal brook is sandy loam, in amoungst the gum trees , if its prepped right it will make Cannodale look like a sheep paddock...........

Excellent. Roll on September I say......
save a camping spot next to you, will talk the feral photographer into going over for this one!!

Geez I don't know about camping near you Baz.....I do need my power naps from time to time ya know! Christine is welcome though!!!!

Spoke to the guy thats organising this morning, he says they just wanted to do another Nationals and put there had up ( they normally do modern, trials and sidecars) they dont have much experiance with what a Classic bike is so if you want any imput into into format, racing classes and so on now is the time to start thinking about it before they look at putting in the supp regs etc.

I think Alison is all over this one, but i have arranged a meeting with the guy in 2 weeks when he is down here and will give him both Tassie and Broadfords programs so he can get a feel for what sort of layout we like to run, but they seem keen to understand what vintage is and wants.

It appears to be set for after fathers day but before the Grand final to help you Mexicans out.

There is camping at that track and i think only some motels in crystal brook, but port piries is only 20 mins up the road and they would have unlimited motels style stuff there.

The track is an all natural terrain, sandy loan and free draining.  IF i could transfer it down to my back padddock it would be heaven, they also have awsome moto trial tracks out there , might even be a good spot to consider for a CD ? unless its been locked in for eternaty In Qld.....  will post some phots when i can find one

I think this could be a hummm dinger if we can steer the committee to VMX needs and get the dialogue going early and support them they would be keen to listen it think and we would end up with our own custominsed Perfect event.

Alison, once its announced ( i heard  24th oct) maybe we can start a new thread and help these guys out by getting some info for them, even get them a list of riders so they can do what grassy did and send out expressions of attending  etc ?

This could be a bloody ripper of an event.  IF they built it they will come.  id say you would hget near 30 Sa riders you have never even seen before, even the old A graders might come out for a punch, Ray Robie, Don bowey, tony cooke etc i know they still have fast bikes tucked away.  unfortunatly i think there honda's but that OK i guess.
