Things are looking pretty grim for the DT Nats folks. Please do your bit for your sport and enter. If this meeting dies, it won't be back in a hurry, you can trust me on that! Who'd want to go through the heartache of of putting on a meeting to get such a crap entry response from the vintage fraternity.
I just don't understand why out of the hundreds of vintage racers out there we can only get 30 odd entries.

Am I correct in thinking (HOPING) that many of you are sending off your entries for the Nats today? The organisers have left the entries open until Wednesday in a hope to attract some more late entries. If they don't achieve the desired numbers you can bet your arse the meeting will be cancelled. Please do the right thing.

we get a better roll up of old bikes at St George / Penrith combined club days....... not everyone can afford the $ or the time, but if you can, have a go!! because if Canberra in 08 was anything to go by, you wont regret it.

no matter how slow you think you are.... it is ALL about having a go.

Cheers all

So number 87 can you give us an idea of the numbers that you do get at the combined St George/Penrith club days and if you have any idea what percentage of those have enter'd for Dirt Track Nats at Raymond Terrace.

Am hearing that entrys from both these clubs are light on and was kind of wondering what the go is.

It wasn't missed Mick, there were a few of us encouraging as many as we could find to get their entries in.
After a memorable session with Keith Davies, T.H and Kevin Fraser on Saturday night I'm pretty sure that Trevor is going to enter.
What a great weekend it was.

Sorry Col, first opportunity to dial into the forum since my last comment, MatchoMick is right 20 - 30 is pretty normal, as to what % of the St George and Penrith guys have entered the NATS? .......
F@#K&D if I know . . . . Unfortunately. . . . . . . . . . .
If I did I be on the blower trying to con the blokes that haven't with free beer or some such incentive!

Glenn Pickering rang me last night to let me know that the THE NATS ARE DEFINITELY GOING AHEAD As of last night they had 75 entries which is just enough to support the event. There are 11 sliders but only one bloody sidecar*. The entries close today so there's hope that the entry list will reach the 100 mark. Because of the low entry the club will be forced to join some classes together and some of the age groups are in doubt.

Despite the sadly dismal support from racers, the meeting will be a great event because those who have made the effort are the 'true believers', possessing the spirit and drive to ensure the event is successful and fun. Bring it on.

*With all of the loud talk from the sidecar folks, pleading to be included and promising to enter, recieving only one entry is bloody disgraceful. Methinks there are a lot of questions to be asked of the sidecar division. They talk the talk but rarely back it up with serious action. If they want to be taken seriously in all divisions they need to get their act together.
