Firko excuse my ignorance but does seventy five entrys mean seventy five riders or seventy five bikes. Am thinking that seventy five riders could mean twice that number of bikes, you get my drift. Whatever, I'm just happy it's a happening thing. Maybe it's not to late for the fence sitters to get an entry in.

I'm pretty sure there is still a bit of time Col but not long. I was in contact with Glenn Pickering yesterday as I was contemplating entering my bog standard DR 500 in the pre 85 class but I don't think I'll have time to arrange a license. Not to mention no gear to wear but thought I might be able to help with numbers.
Looking forward to the weekend none the less.

Spoke to Glen to night,

this is non official, just feeling it out

may be that they could have some support events, non championship,
call them demonstration runs,
may be possible with out national license,

may be just one day license  or rec license,
what do you think
any takers
Cheers

75 riders entries which could be around 150 bikes, im riding three classes ie 3 bikes, lot of others will be riding more than one bike,   Good shit about nats being a goer, no wonder event organisers are a bunch of bald blokes having entries coming in this late ;D

Big vote of thanks to you Rossco and a few others (grasy and peter lee that I know of) that have enter'd two or three classes. Am sure that it is guys like yourselves that have probably made this event possible (just, by the sound of it)

how about supporters (mechanics/pit crew/hangers on etc etc) "demonstration events",that should catch on hey! ;),
GDR make the effort mate, generally we mentally kick ourselves after, otherwise  ::)

I reckon Matcho Mick is on to something, my old man, as an example would be in it in a heart beat (and would happily pay for it). He rides on the road every day - has done for about 200 years but my monther would cut off what is left of his goolies if he entered a proper race but as for some demo laps - she could deal with that.

Perception is a funny thing!

Meanwhile back at the Ranch, if there is a pit crew race I'm in T.H's pit.

Can anyone help with what gearing to use at Barleigh Ranch? For eg faster or slower than Nepean or ACT.

Striaght is not as long as nepean and you come of a large radius 90' corner from a slower tight left hander.
straight also runs gently down hill to the first double radius corner the tighter left into the right hander short straight gently up hill to second right hander to tight left again ,

hope that confuses you enough I'll probably be in your events.
cheers

Thanks, Noel. The Google map was especially helpful but I would specifically like some advice on whether to "gear" up or down in comparison to Nepean. Thanks. ;)

top speed would be lower at Barley ranch,
the straight just isn't that long.
Cheers
