Nope I didn't. Not before 1999 anyway. I rode trails and club enduros and some club level dirt track back in the 70s/80s. Stopped riding in about 1989, got back into it with VMX in 1999.

Actual racing - 1985ish to 1987ish, 80cc then 125's briefly, before girls and cars became my main focus.

School boy MX in New Zealand in 73-74
A bit of MX in the late 70's and I started to race* again 7 years ago. No moderns, I just use my XT in local C grade and VMX meetings interstate when I can.

Not sure if I'm answering the question at all...

Yes, first race was in 2006...  :D
Newest bike I've raced is a 1985.5 model Husky.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

I started racing motocross in about '77 or '78 . Decided to give it away in about '88 when, at the Mareeba "King of Kerribee' night supercross , some kid on an 80 cleared a big set of doubles that I was too scared to jump on my 250  :o. I think the kids name was Ashkenazi or something like that  :D . Did a bit of enduro stuff & competed at the '84 4day & the I4DE in '88 . Then went racing stand-up jetskis for a while . Got into VMX racing after going to spectate at the Thumpernats round at Conondale in '96 & watching Geoff Holmes , John Kittle & Roy Gay going at it in the twinshock class . Been hooked on racing older mxers ever since & have now bought & raced bikes that were around well before I started riding .

Couple of races during the 80's. Didn't like the attitude of most of the riders, too far up their own backsides in the moderns. 15 years of enduros and 20 of trials though. Trials and enduro riders are much more relaxed.

Yeah im a racer Brent.
Started in mini bikes in 1980, finished up at the end of the 87 season. Claim to fame was a Qld title in juniors and third in Qld on a 500 in 85. Started again in 2000 in local club, then started doing the shell series and made it back to b grade. Tripped over vintage late '06.
