Did anyone tell you that you look like Kent??
No, didn't think so!
And where's that smile??
Is that your ' race face ' look?
You psyched me out!  :D
Do you wear old school boots to be able to wear boot savers? I cant get them around modern boots. I have bought about 5 pairs and none fit!

Maybe i'm in the minority but i loved them, being a Vicco and riding lots of muddy meeting in the middle of Melbourne winters they were the easiest way to keep the boots free of mud and make the clean up faster, great invention.

I won't deny owning a pair of Suzuki and a pair of Kawasaki bootsavers but the best thing I ever did with them was convert them into crossbar pad covers ;D

there you go - I confess and they all start coming out of the closet!!  When I was racing I even had them over a pair of Scott plastic boots - geez I looked good - not fast - just looked good :D :D :D (Well I thought so anyway with my Jofa chest protector making me look like a 250lb grid iron player!!)

OK, I understand; the boot savers do have some practical reason for being there.
My only exposure remains Holeshot's picture, but it seems to me you could make your own if the old school jobbies don't fit the larger modern boots.

A reasonably tough fabric, something in between the 'bike cover' stuff and tarpaulin should do it.
Cut to appropriate size, stitch velcro down the two edges wear it meets at the back of the boots - TA DAH!
The fashion conscious could paint them.
Example: for the 'Brad' model go the additional step of painting white and liberally dusting with gold sprinkles... ;)

Or is that all too easy?

Maybe you needed a pair of bootsaver savers , Rusty , to protect your bootsavers from being melted on your pipe  :D .

Jofa chest protectors eh.. ;D if it hadn't been the fact I wanted a back protector for the Oz titles a few years back I'd be still using mine. Same as the white/orange ones Decoster pumped back in the mid 70's with matching knee and shin pads that are all but guarantee'd to hook up under your tank right when you need to foot most or if the fuel tap is facing out they will turn off your fuel for you also ::) apart from this minor bother they both served me so very well and have the gouges and rash to prove it that would otherwise have been in my body :o I need a maniquin to display this shit so all the world can see just how cool we looked..not! :D speaking of old gear, I have a pair of old O'Neal booties I'd like to pass on. They are in pretty good nic only for the fact the plastic tabs that slip into the buckles are split broken or missing. There is only about 8 of them and they'd be a snap to make excusing the pun :P They are a size 'BIG'  ;D about a 10 or 11 I'd guess (much too big for me) $40+ postage is a bargain never to be repeated!! (least not by me) ;D

thats the little tab below the boots that needs cloning ;) oh, an 1 steel toe cap thingy is missing..otherwise they're all good 8)

yes! it looks like bar pads are out and boot savers are now back in style 8) providing of course you ride Evo or pre '85..another good reason to stick with pre'75  ;D
