YZ100G, I have one!  Actually two! The shock I mean.

They are in other models, just cant remember what?

YZ100H, IT125G/H

Very similar to YZ100E/F but they dont have the locking ring (14).

Looks like a heavier spring from something else?

I assume that you can't read the prefix on the sticker?

It is not a dampening adjustment, it is preload. Thus the locking ring. If you like I'll take a photo of the 2 I have with the 3R9 prefix  (IT125G) or 3R2 (YZ100G) I cant remember

Did I miss something or is this a contest?

Thought we were adding our 2 cents?

I realise the shock may be in other models but I know it is in a YZ100G.

The list of the same or similar parts that Yamaha use in other models use is endless.

Thanks Viper.  Hopefully it is the same one on the 100H (that I don't have yet) so I will have a spare shock.
This one is in very good condition.

The hunt continues for a good 250C shock.  I will follow up those leads KB and Rossco and see what I can come up with.

Cheers lads  8)

Neale, I was asking Tony. You can see a remnant of the sticker in his most recent photo, but you can also see that it's torn and has probably been painted over.
Relax!  :)

And you're right about the adjustment - my bad.

Sorry, misread. But they are not the shocks in the 1st pics? Which one is Tony?

By the way I have a set of C forks for sale. Have got round to posting yet.

Good chrome no rust or pitting, straight, seem to be intact & working. Legs need attention (Polishing etc.)

One is misiing the bolt that srews into the lower leg at the bottom.

Have pics somewhere will post tonight if I get time.

Tony is me  ;D ;D

Thanks Viper, the set of forks I have on the bike are in good nick.  That's one thing I am OK for.  A lot of other stuff I will still need to source.

I will have a look at the sticker to see if the model is still on it Nathan.  Would have been the obvious thing to look at in hindsight  ::)

Now it seems the swing arm is all wrong too ... CRAP  >:(

While I have the attention of the older model Yamaha Gurus.  What is this arm off ?

Has the snail cam adjusters.  No bearing etc for the swingarm pivot like the YZ, just bushes.

Anyone got the real thing laying around, or know where I would find one  ???

The steel arms had bushes - thry only went to bearings for the alloy arms.

I reckon Vany's nailed it - monoshock DT250/400. Shock would probably be from the same bike.

That's odd.  The yammy parts diagram shows bearings and all sorts in the swingarm pivot  :-\.

So that makes the swingarm I have worth absolutely nothing and puts me on a search for the correct one ::).

This project is starting to become frustrating  >:(

Edit : having looked at some parts diagrams, I reckon DT400D is very close to the mark, right down to the bushes (only) in the swingarm pivot.
Even the shock looks pretty close  :-\  Maybe someone has grafted the DT400D onto the back of this beast  :-\  Brake backing plate matches the swingarm also - something else to locate  >:(
