The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Rear hub is a 483 one - a correct part for the bike!

I reckon the backing plate is DT or XT, based on the rubber inspection plug. It may be IT or TT. YZ had a torque arm.
There will probably be a prefix code cast into the inside of the backing plate, in among the webs.

Is there a prefix code and/or date on the rim?

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

Just what are you trying to say Ted ??

Good news thanks Nathan.  Apart from "DID" and the rim size, the only markings on the rim are "5DB" and "587R".

5DB could be 508 ?

Cool, maybe I should just spring for that and sell mine  :-\

The stuff I've got is all pretty good, NOS airbox, crank, barrel, piston etc.  It's just the swingarm that's an issue.

Moral dilemna - do I use what I've got and have a Frankenbike or go to the effort of getting the correct bits  ::)

OR -  I could buy that one and use it for a parts bike  ;D ;D

If everything was as it should be that should go for about $3600.

Yeah, kind of makes sense.

Frame and engine numbers are about 50 apart, but that's not a really big deal i don't think.

Thanks Steve,

I searched yz 250 76 and nothing came up  ??? ???

I will drop them a line and see what shipping would be.  The $99 one has free postage  ::) ;D

The other one has both chain guides.  Possible worth the extraordinary postage to get those  :-\
