your welcome Kerry; the scars are healing well ;D

Can I also say thanks as I had a great time with a great bunch of people. Lots of times you miss the detail in meetings like this but everything was done 100% - even the toilets were cleaned by a couple of young guys in club kit and were spotless, the canteen was well was well run and clean and tidy. You dont get that everywhere but it was stuff like that in addition to the well run race meeting that add up to a great event.

Well done to you Kerry; without your work and enthusiasm it wouldnt have happened at all.

Thanks mate, but like you said without the guys pulling the dirt around and doing the shit jobs like cleaning the toilets out it would have been just another ride day.

Getting out on the track and riding fired me up all weekend, loved the racing, working on making it to harrisville already, just got to figure out how to get a bike up there.

every state has a legend ,  ol' Murray Williams is ours, after his last aussie title win in 1974 Murray put in the hours with the spanners and got fired up for the classic titles, he took the 68 Triumph out humming smashing all the pre 68 races by a long way in a full field.

Over 35 years later Murray aged 74 took out his 11th national title against guys half his age.  To see Murray ride and listen to his speech at the presentation opitimises what sportmanship and dedication is all about, all those racers he beat couldnt say enough about how happy they were to have been given the chance to be in a race with there living regend.   He really made my weekend.  :)

I'm extremely disappointed that I wasn't able to get to Crystal Brook but I'm stoked that the event went off so well. It was a big task for Freaky and the Crystal Brook club to get a good roll up but he managed to get it all together. Congratulations to Freaky, the Crystal Brook club and those hardy competitors who took the punt on travelling so far to compete at what is still our sport's Holy Grail.

Next year will be huge as it's the first year of the split Nats concept. I'm not sure if the venues are finalised yet but wherever they're held I hope competitors from both sides of the era split make a big effort to make sure that both events succeed.

Wow!  Great track and great looking bikes!

I went through the pics on the Darren Shaw site and this was my favorite.  It made think of Roger D.

Jay, why not come on down to race at next years Nats or to party and ride at Classic Dirt? We've had a number of your fellow countrymen race at the Nats and a few at Classic Dirt over the years and all of them have had a hoot of a time. I doubt you'd have any problems finding bikes to race or ride and places to stay, we're a pretty friendly down here ;D. You're welcome to race any of my bikes......come on down, you'll love it.

YEp it really went out with a bang, im glad it went well as it was the last before the split and it needed to be sent off in style !  the sidcars coming on board really made it a full house event with all catagories an Australian Title, what more can you ask for - you couldnt wish for a better send off for the end of that era of the single big event format. :)
