Dredging the old memory bank a bit , some names I'd all but forgotten in those pix, Sandor Levai for one and didn't Bruce Cribb, a Kiwi I think, have a crack at Ice Speedway at some time ? , If me memory's right he used to be a regular at it.
Orright, where's the wall Freaky ??
Yeah, Slides , I think you are pretty right about it being Ray Wilson

Spot on Foss, Bruce Cribb is a Kiwi and did ride a fair bit of Ice Speedway late in his Career.
His first contact with brother Carlos was on track and by all accounts he wanted to tear Carl's head off.
Isn't that surprising, they did become good friends, to the point that Carl thought of having a go on the ice for a while.
Now that would've been interesting, The Spear on Spikes, OUCH.

Howard Cole : I was more a smaller track person, but did enjoy watching there on a 'social' Saturday night, and not just the bikes either. I used to knock around with Jack Porritt and Bruce Doolan a bit, as well as with Bob Tattersall when he was around (first go to know him during my spell in Auckland in 67/68).

Who is on the outside of Howard in the B/W shot under the Pommy team shot ??, looks like Booey but wrong flag on jacket.
wuz gunna say the wall at the Syd. Showground , but it woulda been a guess.

Foss, if you're talking about the one where Howard's in the Kings Lyn breast plate & white jersey?
I think it's Jim Airey on the outside, maybe at Liverpool before they made it Bitumen.

Couldn't let the MX boys steal the show completely Foss.
After all, Short Circuit is pretty much where it all began, inc - Scrambles & even Road Racing.

I've got one as well Foss, I'd like to get mine as close to original colours as possible.
He lives in the stick's Freaky but if you can bring it to Bris I'll give them both to him at Nepean in another month or so.
Send it through the Scanner at the Airport, that'll test em.
