At this stage expressions of interest from WA is about 15 entrants and probably 25 to 30 bikes. No container this year but there may be some room left on the trailers that will be coming by road. Let me know if you need bike transport and I will try to coordinate this end. Looking forward to Ararat!!

Best way to straighten bend fork tubes is with a press, V blocks and a dial gauge. And a pinch of patience!! ?

Pre95 had gained acceptance by many clubs nationwide well before the Pre95 proposal came before the Commission for discussion. I think there will be a good level of support for the new class at national championship level. MA is committed to ensuring that the Australian Classic and Post Classic Championships reflect the importance to the discipline that it deserves. It is now up to the riders and respective clubs to ensure they support the events to enable all of us to showcase the sport that we all love!

Well said Glenn, I reckon old Rossco would have been happy with his send off. Rest in peace Ross Campbell, you were a good member of the VMX family.

Very nice job! I have still got my Dad's model 92 in the shed, bought new in 1973 from Lloyd Chapman Motorcycles. Still run great although completely unrestored.

Good luck this weekend Kenneth and team. Hoping all your hard work pays off in the form of many satisfied participants.

Surely just an oversight by Heaven I would think. I'm sure they will change their date to not clash with Australian Championships. That would be right wouldn't it Greg?????

General Discussion / Re: Licence fees
« on: January 08, 2017, 08:14:07 pm »
Over here in the West one of the oldest BSA/HARLEY club, have just posted they have bailed out of MA , because  of the fees ,does this mean going back to RIDE MA or BLACK meeting for 2017. time will tell .a lot of John Smith and Harry Bloggs riding on the black club days .

Not quite correct, the club has decided not to re-affiliate with Mwa for a reason unrelated to the increase in licence fees. I was actually talking to the President of the club last night at speedway and wished them well but expressed my concerns about them "going black". I only hope that all their insurance is adequate and does not fall short in the event of a claim.

Good on you Kenneth for taking on, I'm sure, a very onerous but hopefully very fulfilling role in carrying on the fine work that Graeme has done over the years. My only advice, I you were to ask me, would be to keep a tight reign on the administration of the forum's contributors. Many are great people who share the passion, however some have used it far too many times in a very negative and destructive way that has been detrimental to the sport. Good luck!!

Every Australian classic and Post Classic mx championships have been successful in my opinion, regardless of competitor numbers. Why????? Because it is a bringing together of enthusiastic like minded souls to who enjoy the camaraderie, atmosphere and there sheer joy that these old bikes give us. Let's try and find the reasons to support this sport instead of find ways to criticise. No malice intended in my comments, merely my observations. :)
Seems I wasted my time with this post. What does it matter who occupies the Key official roles so long as they are willing and able to perform their duties and are L4. Bigger things going on in the world guys. Get over it.
