Surely just an oversight by Heaven I would think. I'm sure they will change their date to not clash with Australian Championships. That would be right wouldn't it Greg?????

Dates are accurate.

Please be assured there is no malice in the timing of our meetings. This was a difficult decision for us to make and the committee spent some time looking at all options. In the end though our responsibility is to offer our members the best possible VMX program. The compromise our club made was to make the August meeting a no point score round toward our club championship so members are free to travel if they desire.

Two Nationals scheduled one week apart and the weekend before fathers day with only one week break after the biggest VMX meeting of the year the Conondale Classic (the same weekend each year) makes it virtually impossible to avoid them. This scheduling effectively locks out 6 weeks smack in the middle of the season. The week after fathers day is way too close to our clubs biggest meeting of the year.

The impact should be minimal as the National meeting is 1400Km from our meeting in another state.

We are not entering into a long winded debate with people not involved in our club. Our responsibility is to offer our members the best possible VMX program. Last year the PCMX Nationals ran and so did our meeting and both apparently successfully.

No further posts on this thread from us. The heading of the thread is miss leading but it is what it is. We answer to our members first and last.

I had a good chat with Kenneth yesterday and cleared up this particular issue. Thankyou for you response Greg. Let's hope this year is a great one for Vmx in Australia. ?

Agreed. Our sport needs us to show good leadership and healthy communication between the decision makers so we can all focus on what we are all here for, our love of this great sport.
