yeah I was pretty lucky, bought original MK3 frame with good Nickel and no dents or war damage. I have all alloy 500 Triumph pre unit motor for it so it should come up nice.

thanks for that guys, I am lucky I have a friend that has a bike wreckers and another family member with a Suzuki dealership so managed to get all the right motorcycle bits, so on to the next project which is the KSI bike I guess.

Motor has to come out again as will change the head over to the Daytona one but thats a mornings work.

A couple of years ago i went to a supercross at sydney, Steven Gall Mr motocross from back in the day was putted aroung the track between races, i was sure it was a four stroke Yammy bigbore. sounded great I think it may have been one of these HL things. I was told by another old racer from the early 80's that i was mistaken and it must have been a two stroke.
Has Gally got one of theses or access to...

Thats right Paul, it's not a Hallman.
The USA built frames were known as Hallman's....




The UK models were known as HL's....



So it's really a HL replica, abbreviated to HL  ;D

40 odd hours to build you say Marc, that's odd, according to my records it was closer to 40 months ::) ;D

The originals went together a bit quicker....

Still a big fat & ugly farm bike IMO, if it were a woman you wouldn't look twice! Unless you like big, fat & ugly of course! Just my thoughts though.
