...but my main concern now is the amount of smoke it blows..its blowing out everywhere....
Put it into first gear, take off and nail it in every gear. If it still smoking after fifth gear you have a problem :-\ (probably c/c seals). If it clears it was just accumulated oil from standing ;).

I fit seizes in between it wasn't my idea, right?  ;D

it has been sitting for something like 6-8months...it wouldnt be the crankseals....the whole motor was rebuilt top and bottom only about 12 months ago.... :)

Andrew, its been a long time since I have looked at the carb on my YZ250H so I am not sure what it is running.
Is this the first run since the rebuild? If it is then be thankful that it is smokey, at least the bearings have oil on them.
As for crank seals, they can go at any time.

this would probably be its 3rd run since its rebuild...yes ive been a bit slack with takin her for a run every so often to keep the seals fresh but i didnt think they would perish that quick...

They don't 'perish' they harden, and I doubt they would need replacing after 6-8 months. Slight damage of the lip may have been done during assembly but most probably just accumulated oil.

Take it for a thrash ;), and report back 8).

Yeah I agree MX250, a good thrashing once it is warmed up. The oil should burn up nicely after sitting around waiting to be taken to heaven and back, yep a good old fashion flogging is what is needed.  ;D

OOps, My wrench said the piston looked like some overwieght pom was giving it a flogging ;) the only way to keep up with those big brit bangers on a 125, lean her out, keep her pinned and hope for the best. The barrel is in getting a hone and the piston/rings are on the way for the rescue.

Never let a pom pass by.... ;)   ;D   ;D

Yea I miss that little bike, it even had a sense of humour, albeit in a gangster kind of way.

"If you don't start singing now I'll break your f...kin leg"
Roxanne  you don't have to put on the red light   ;)  sorry Bill  ;D

In its own way I think it had  'short-bike syndrome'  because it liked to take on bigger bikes in a do or die fashion.

And like a true gangster hitman/bodyguard it looked after its owner and gave him 3 wins in a row to become "The Don"
 ;D   ;D
