I knew you would remember. That pine cone still haunts me to this day.
Have you noticed that in each issue of VMX since that day there has been a pine cone discretely placed somewhere in the magazine? Hmmmmmmmm?

It's quite easy to explain, because the YZ didn't come with a kick stand there was nowhere to place a pine cone discreetly, so DJ has had to improvise, and improvise he has, if you look just to the right of the bike in the first photo you will see a strategically placed "Pine cone" under the throttle tube.......a f%^&$en big van, this is an excellent subsitute and worthy of a mention in the "pine cone placement" quartely.

For those of you scratching your head thinking WTF, I refer you to the cover of VMX mag number 25 and subsiquent ktm 250 article, special atention should be drawn to the kick stand of said motorcycle.

After work today I took the bike out because it needed a bigger main jet. I have got from a 190 to a 225 main and had to drop the needle to the last clip position. I think I could go from a 50 to a 45 pilot as will but I havnt got one, but I will when I do get it.
Anyway you have seen the video, here are a couple of pictures from this afternoon

Well i have just seen and herd the Noguchi first hand

and i can truly say the pictures and video dont do the bike justice.

Congratulations DJ you have done a fantastic job , coming up with the concept to the completed (i use the term loosely as feel the Noguchi will continue to evolve) bike.

It sound as good as it looks and i cant wait for a ride

Will the final true test day for the Noguchi was today at the Kiwi VMX champs and I'm happy to report that the Noguchi proformed exceptionally well for its maiden race meeting(although I have discovered a tiny hole in the tank). All going well, the next time I get to ride it will be at CD-5.

DJ is being too modest the Nogouchi is a bloody rocket

on its maiden outing DJ rode it to 3 wins from 3 starts

I got a ride on it at the end of the day and yep it goes as good as it looks

hey dj...just out of curiosity,what jetting specs do you run in your yz250g..just took mine for a quick trip up the road and back after fitting a new manifold and boyseen reeds and the thing absolutely rips.....gone is the mystery flat spot...but my main concern now is the amount of smoke it blows..its blowing out everywhere....i was running 98 octane pump fuel with yamalube 2s at around 32-1....
