Sensational stuff DJ!!
I dragged my boy away from the cartoons to show him the progressive photos and the first-kick start up.
But I had to put it into perspective for him...
He makes and paints scale models and he knows what a bugger it is to start the mower - so now he's also impressed ;D.

I've scrolled back over the thread and photos to fully appreciate your work; well done!!
Now how's about a vid at full noise across one of those hilly golf courses in the land of the long white cloud?
"Whadaya mean it's too loud?! It's a f*ckin' race bike!! That pipe makes it go louder - and look faster!!"

Its 3:30pm here and I'm about to go and run it in. Check the spark plug and do some jetting. I will take the camera and video (helmet cam).
I'll let you know how it goes when I get back.

Will I ran the Noguchi in today and then gave her a couple of blasts. As promised, I said I would put up the first ride. These vids are just after I gave her an easy ride around and then let her cool down and then I warmed her up again and started videoing.

I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for all the kind words, it has been a pleasure doing this project and I would like to thank Brian S and Danny W for their help.

You have a good place to ride, where is that exactly? (to me it looks like the forest riding area just north of Christchurch)

No problem Hoony, if I can help you (or anyone else) in any way just let me know. The first race meeting will be March 16th the 4th round of the series here, I hope. I need to iron out any teething problems.
The place I was riding at is about 5mins drive away from where I live, Wanganui, North Island on the west coast. The pine forest runs out to the beach and ya can just make up tracks and trails. Its handy to run bikes in or do jetting as you can have your tools at hand.
I have found the front brake to be a bit weak, the front suspension a tad soft, the back a tad hard and I think just a bit of fine tuning on the motor and she will be good to go.

DJ,
Great work, and a good fun read as well. Who says the internet is useless!!!

Just be wary of the facination some OZVMXers have with 'Pine Cones', so you had better keep your location Top Secret!!!
