What has it got other than fancy, distinctive livery?

The seller hasn't given much of a description neither pictorial nor text.

On face value I reckon maybe $6-7000.

WP forks.
Might have an Ohlins/WP shock.
Was set-up/built by Frank Pons back in the day.
It would be a good thing to ride, I'm sure.

The value isn't so much "this is a poop hot race bike", its about the historical significance of the bike. Of that era, the MYTD bikes (esp Bell's) were clearly the iconic bikes that everyone thinks of.

Whether there's $15k worth of historical significance, is entirely another question - I'd say not. An ex-Jimmy Deakin YZ250S failed to sell for $1200 about 18 months ago - admittedly it was in much less-good condition and poorly advertised, but it strongly suggests that bikes of this era don't have the 'wow factor' that translates into dollar value (yet?).
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

a freakin work of art!!!(in the eyes of a 16 yr old) :) ok I still love it. Any mid 80's works'ish bike will do.

I painted my (god knows what brand) helmet in dayglo spraycan orange not long after i saw this bike. Probably rendered it useless with solvent paint or something ::) luckily I never landed on  my head

It is a replica Gary. Just has original bits on it like the rear shock that is attached to the rear brake via a cable set up. I nearly owned it back in '01 myself.

signature says it all #2 ..... Belly was good but not good enough for a flashed up production bike to be worth any more.

So is it the very bike Belly rode or is it a replica of that bike? If it's a replica, the seller appears to be misrepresenting what he's selling, alluding that it's the bike Bell rode in '87.

Glens bike had simmons forks. Those look like white power. I might be wrong but thats what I belive. Also I am sure Glens had Billet Bits everywhere. That looks to have std gear lever.
