Day 1
550km for first night to stay with mum.
Day 2
Abundant wildflowers on road side for another 530km,hung balloons on the highway at the campsite in the bush and was joined by a truck with 24 bikes ,Steve,Kerry,Bill,Mary,Brian and Rebecca from Perth city area.Paul,Nick and Bill from the South West drove on through for another 200 odd km,being the leaders in the great VMX Tour.
Jumped a fence and had a look through the 1877 stone building of the telegraph station.Alot of history with old diffs and truck bodies scattered around, the igenuitty of Australia still very evident, alas..No Ossa's  ;)
Day 3

Gave the air tanks a bit a a hit with a star picket to get the air going in the truck so it could do somemore miles.
Day 4
Nullabor Treeless Plain with nice tail wind to take us another 680km, which put us passed the border. Lou and Jenny joined us with a nice 79 Honda on board. Lou has an interesting history with days spent at Claremont Speedway. All stopped into Ceduna for fish n chips on the foreshore.
Day 5
the Eyre Pennisala with great crops to keep the farmers happy. The vmx truck  went ahead  and pushed on through to PPirie.
Day 6
Another  4ookm  til Crystal Brook  Track

Some really good riders out here today.
Had a classic laught with the pre65 HD sidecar with passenger sitting in an old wooden box seat-had a hard time getting up the creek bed banks and getting a phot shoot with little kids in the pits on there return home..
40-49  age class races, some fast WA,Qld and Jody Smith from Vic will no doubt go home with a few places-though you never know how things pan out with old bikes and ancient trees.
Parts ,broken pipes, welds going left right and centre today in the pits.
freaky scored a footpeg in the armpit and required a stitch or two.
Put a new base gasket in the TM this pm and off she went again to place a third for the second time today.
Specky races -well spaced out with practise and a few races for day one  :P   :P
