« on: November 27, 2008, 03:13:47 pm »
I know Cyclegod has already sort of started this thread  ( sorry CG ! ) ,but if anyone out there is building,or thinking of building,a TM,TS or even RM based enduro mount, lets hear about it ,see some piccies or just share your thoughts and ideas !

  Mine is......'72 TS250 frame
                 '72 TM motor
                 TF185 tank   (ag model )
                 PE seat
                 TM wheels
                 PRESTON PETTY guards

A few frame and suspension mods and some bright orange paint.........Iwant it to look like Rolf Witthoeft's '78 Z751  (dream on......)

bet its lighter....hey nice bike, it has that Rokon feel about it, state of the art mid 70s...really cool bike on a budget. Plus if you take into account spares availability you should be able to ride it hard forever.

Consider the Mudslug AG handlebars, ideal they come with built in bark busters.

Yerp bassani or Torque pipe i reckon, both worked better than the stock on the 185. from memory that heat shield looks like bassani as the torque was a lighter unit but the same style

hi all
im making up a rm185 s using a 185a motor and a rm125s frame with rm125a swingarm to match up to 16.25 inch destroked fox airshoxs and cr250 83/4 43 mm forks also to be destroked with a plastic pe175 tank and pe175c steel base seat, pipe is a rm125m with turned around inlet to match up to the 185 exhaust port or a cr125 elsi down pipe and 30mm mik carb off my cooper 250 crosser, might rm/ts the box and spark and tweak the inlet port to suit the carb and dedag the rest of the ports, front wheel is xt500 for a bigger drum up front and er185 solid hub rear wheel

mmmm, I did have plans recently for the TS185er. It 'was' going to sport complete '78 RM125C front and rear suspension/swingarm/clamps and wheels. Easier to go this way than it is to fit a centre port reed motor into the single downtube RM125 frame. Not a complete idiot that I'd wreck a perfectly good RM frame to build it ;) anyway that idea got canned and I put together a stocky but I do have plans for a TS250 vinduro as it would from all accounts appear that I've managed to score an early TS250 with the factory RT kit goodies fitted ;D cross my fingers and pray to Santa ;) other than this I'd entertained thoughts of whipping some lights on my TS125R and then there's this little unit I'm toying with also at present and it's going the vinduro/modded trail as well ;)

Sounds cool (I had to read that twice to make sure I got it all). Post up a pic when it's done.
