HEEELLLLPPPP TS250X 1984 jet 6fjv54
« on: April 04, 2018, 04:15:14 pm »
Hi Suzuki guys,

A very big thank you goes to James for helping out with a needle. I was being ham fisted with my old one whilst inspecting pit marks on the needle which I had never seem before. I too tried to work out tapers to match up with no success.

Cheers

Tim

Tried any wreckers?
You could also try Show and Go.

Do you mean the 'jet needle' as apposed to the 'needle jet'?, another forum suggested try this crowd http://www.smebike.com/index.php?route=common/home
Have a look through these to maybe compare dimensions & might find something close. https://www.ebay.com/sch/Mikuni-Motorcycle-Jet-Needles/177773/bn_33498779/i.html?_fsrp=1

Part number is 13383-13A00 jet needle. Indeed they are extremely rare.

I have , I owned an 87 rm250 in the past and I own a ts250x 84 model , both have very similar flat slide mikuni but after looking at the parts list the needles for the rm are discontinued for it as well and the later ones have a keihn carb which the necj needle i suggested is from , so not much help there , maybe mikuni oz might suggest a similar replacement , the TM series carbs look the same

I had exactly the same problem with the carbs on my triples . All jets and needles are Kawasaki parts and most obsolete or out of range  . There are only used mangled parts available on the net from USA or UK  at high cost . Got 3 new round slides from Sudco ( they look very similar to the OEM H2 carbs) . Now I can buy all the parts for tuning , cheap and new . The old 30 mm  carbs went on Ebay and I got  nearly as much for them as I paid for the new 32 mm Round slides. That made me and some purist happy . Just a thought .
VMX shocks , We don't just sell them - I design and produce them individually for you since 1989.

I had the same problem with a SP370 jet needle It's a special made for suzuki part, not a standard mikuni part. Allens Performance knew the profile from the coding and also knew that there was no mikuni part which matched, or was even close as it was a double taper needle
