1971 Bultaco Alpina 250 with 600 miles

The only thing missing of that bike is the exhaust resonator box.
The bike is that good, that it would be a sin to restore it.
Spit and polish and you would have a genuine slice of time.

I couldn't see the airbox or the boot between the carby and airbox.  Or is that an optical illusion?

The "85" is what is important Pete.
That means it is a model 85 Alpina 250. That was produced from 1971 till 1974.
I believe it means the 812 one made.

I wonder if I could find it?

I shouldn't have cleaned out the pergola,
I would probably have more chance of finding that black box their still looking for

Pete, I have been looking forward to catching up with you, with Broadford in mind.
But with all the resent events and changes in my life(all positive, I am free )I am forced to compromise some VMX events though.
Time and money The purchase of this Alpina has cemented my instead choice
I now have Nepean more firmly than ever in mind

I am keen to squeeze this one in too(need time and money to prepare some bikes)

Bought a pair of those for my BSA Pre65 I will try to find the ebay store I got them from. It was in england and the guards are good quality.

I would recommend that you clean and seal the internal of the fuel tank against modern fuels as a first priority. Probably last for years as is but could fail and that would be a shame
