1971 Bultaco Alpina 250 with 600 miles
« on: April 08, 2014, 04:01:46 pm »
Gents,

Putting this post up for Andy Gordon  -  0412 970 138

Selling his 1971 Bultaco Alpina - bike is very original and running. Still has speedo, tail light, seat cover and chain guide etc.

Located in Gerringong just south of Wollongong

I have seen the photos of it. Blue fibreglass tank seat and everything looks in factory shape.

He is asking $2500 ono.

Bob (RTB) should be able to stick the 2 pics up on the site for us.

I have the pics if you want email me    [email protected]     and I will flick them out

Cheers

Pete for Andy

Back to the bike.
If it is a 1971 model it should be a prefix PM/PB85(MODEL85).

I actually think these were a great little bike, and would make a hell of a easy and fun Vinduro mount.
My Bro-inlaw had one when I was a teen.. I thought it was great.
He put his foot down, and barred me from it after I crashed it the second time ::)

They made some pretty cool bikes Mr Bultaco and his family, if they where Italian they would probably be still going...abeit with 20 different owners since the early 80's. 8)

I know I'm biased but that is an outright bargain. There's more than that in parts alone.A piston is $295 plus rebore, factory alloy guards cubic dollars. Unfortunately wifey has wagged the finger and said no more for the equipe'.
Bultaco Metralla, Matador MK 5, Montadero mk2, El Bandido model 18,plus lots of bits and two Honda XR's 250,350.

Back in my school days one of the local kids had been given one from his older brother. Looking back we knew nothing about bike prep.He pushed that bike further than he ever rode it it seemed at the time.He always needed someone to help him push start it and would take a tow rope riding with him.

Modern ignition and mikuni and it will be as friendly and reliable as any bike!
Here are pics of the actual bike for sale

I know I keep saying no more bikes ::) but I would rather this one instead of some that I have.
If it is still for sale in three weeks? It will come to my place.

The only thing missing of that bike is the exhaust resonator box.
The bike is that good, that it would be a sin to restore it.
Spit and polish and you would have a genuine slice of time.
