Several of those bikes are built each year by Phil and Stevie Denton for the US riders at the VMXdN using many NOS and remanufactured trick parts. You won't find better built bikes anywhere in the world!
And they always sell..

Yes they are stunning bikes (the ones he built for the USA Vets MXDN Team), but someone would just have to buy it as a poolroom prop.  It can't be raced in EVO either here or in the US.  The bikes were featured in VMX Mag.

Its not that exotic. Apart from a fibreglass airbox, alloy tank and triples it is exactly like this. Only i have used far more modern suspension internals front and rear.

if you get a chance check out their website.  The stuff they make is brilliant and absolutely gorgeous - with a price to match - like a 280 Euro kickstarter.  Wish I could afford some of their bits  :'(

I challenge anyone to build one to this std for what they are asking for this bike  ;)

Read the script , if you haven't seen the bikes in the flesh then I wouldn't expect anyone to understand just how good they are .

The builders Phil and Stevie and the team are also top blokes and passionate VMXers  .

As Kev says no EVO legal in Aus but the they are not adverting them in Aus  ;)

If I had a spare 20k I wouldn't buy one as they are not my thing ( wrong brand ) but before passing judgement take the time to see one in the flesh  :)

I read the description but couldn't see anything outstanding (except a 5 speed box).
$20 000 would pick you up a GENUINE one off, hand built, uber trick, factory bike from the '80's.....
but horses for courses, it's his to charge whatever he wants.

......  not according to this

http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/21768/lot/245/#/MR0_page=20&MR0_length=10&MR0_category=list&MR0_currency=GBP&m0=0

I haven't seen many uber trick works exotica sell for £10k in some time.  Maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

I agree with the last bit though.  Pays your money and takes your choice.

The Dentons really to build VERY nice bikes.
