I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Yeah, looks like they put the front wheel/forks on round the wrong way...

Yep, front wheel mounted to wrong way facing forks..should be leading axle, not following axle...

The tyre would also hit on the rear of the front fender, could be interesting...
I wonder if the piston is facing to right way.

oldyzman prettywell covered my first thoughts--as in wouldn't like to be first to land it hard off a jump. Was a YZ80k on trade me [for ever] don't think it sold but [the old story] fully rebuilt, no cost spared etc--& forks in back to front. Worried me so much [new buyer gets injured] that i had to point it out diplomatically but never got a reply & pic never changed--give up.

xz400/550 was a pain in the arse, carbs were twin downdraft with accelerator pumps & hoses going everywhere. Were carb mods & airbox p**s flap updates early on. Flap was controlled by a vacuum diaphragm thingy that controlled the air at the airbox entry by memory. Reminds me--had one at work that someone had put sealer stuff in the tank & fueled it up too early no doubt, then this bloody cat piss smelling glue went through pretty much everywhere it could get in the carbs. The 550 was raced in the 6 hour over here [nz] but remember constant fiddling during the practice days before then think big ends the night before--not sure if it saw the 6th hour in the end. Steered weird too but probably 'mind over matter' because they look 'wrong'. Had a lot of offset [step forward] on the yokes so everything theoretically worked out with sliders reversed but i could never see the point in it apart from a gimmick [yamaha trickery]. Sorry getting off subject--what was it again!!].

Sold a pair off XZ550 wacko forks a an XZ enthusiast couple years back. He almost had a heart attack with excitement when I said is $20 to much??? Weird!!!
I still have the engine somewhere it is running a 45mm side-draft Weber carby.  Another one day project I will not get too...
In the parts that came with the wreck are the heaters that used to be in the leg fairings, they ran off the liquid cooling system like a car.

Tim, Tim, Tim, Maaate, you could turned them around and swapped them left to right and listed them as workx forks!! You could have sold the for for a $quillion mate ::)
