We actually don't give a tinkers toss if you have a go (red hot or otherwise) we reckon it's just good to get out in a paddock and have a bash.
Last years event drew all sorts out on the woodwork and probably the one golden unit was a not too young Ron Chadwick who gave away his pre75 Wasp Yamaha to our states best team so they could have a crack (which they did with top results) but he entered a BSA outfit that had previously done the 24hr trial in SA, in the pre68 class. He did that knowing that he would most likely be the only entrant and that there would be on award. He, and passenger Marshall Shaw still went out and entertained themselves, if nobody else and went home empty handed but with a good heart. Not too many will do that and they deserve the credit...more than they got IMO.
It's not really about the winning Tim, you just need to show up mate....we'll even share our beer....on a 1st back to the pits system
