20 Bucks.....it went cheap, they usually go for $160+ and I've seen them for over $200 . There are two on Amazon right now...$163 for a new copy and $116 for a second hand one.

I picked up this gem that I didn't have and haven't seen before. $35US seemed pretty cheap to me. The example chapter on the website won me over....brilliant race reporting http://grandprixmx.com/example-chapter/

Superb informative and entertaining book which chronicles the 1972 World Championship Motocross season with more than 300 large-format black-and-white photographs and very detailed captioning.

In addition to photos of the racing action, many of the images are environmental portraits of the star riders of the day, such as Roger DeCoster, Joel Robert, Ake Jonsson, Paul Fredrichs and many others. The exotic, hand-built factory works bikes are revealed in close-up photography from the paddock and race shops.

Also included are reports from five 250cc Grands Prix, six reports from the 500cc World Championship and a report from the 1972 Trophee des Nations.

I received the "Grand Prix Motocross" book this morning and I have to say that it's one of the best books on pre 75 motocross I've ever seen. It's 237 pages cover every aspect of the 1972 GP season including close up detail photos of all of the factory race bikes and insider stories from behind the scenes. I've only looked at the photos and read one introduction story and it's got me hooked already. Speed and Sport are still listing it so grab a copy while its still available. Once out of print these type of books go into the red zone price wise so get it while its only $35. Check out this example chapter http://grandprixmx.com/example-chapter/

I knew you'd like it Bill ;D. I've read the whole book now and it's without doubt the best book on motocross history I've read. The insider knowledge he picked up from being so close to the riders really shines through.
