Yep Jimson made a start, found I had a 500/4 frame hanging on a wall  ,handy;) Have various wheels and at least two complete engines laying about. Cheers

Cool Garry...I get the rough and ready bobber feel. I'm about to go through it with my Maico 250.....This is how it's to remain with the exception of mechanicals and some upholstery, tyres and mechanicals. I'm even hoping to do the seat with used vinyl to blend in with the rest of the bike.

Hey Mark, here's a thought, in keeping with the ruff n' ready look you could mount a can of startyabastard just an inch behind the inlet stub, then just press the spray top and away ya go! No mucking about with jets etc!
dont follow me i'm probably off line!

Acetylene is the go... but only in short bursts due to the melting the engine problem...  ;)

Pancho I have an old 3 page magazine article on building a Honda 350 Baja racer. If you want me to post it here via "Photobucket" please ask. Tim

I've been looking for a 19 inch front wheel for a while. Then I thought about my DT1 stash it turns the axle O.D is the same as the Honda.I just have to work out how to stop the brake backing plate from moving around.  :-\  Jimson

Great job so far Jimson.....I especially love the unique exhaust treatment. I look forward to seeing it live.

Think I prefer the red/white Honda tank over the white tank due to it hiding the frame more.
Love the whole left field concept of the bike

Me three......it's a much nicer shape and as Tony said, hides the top rail better. It also makes the bike more instantly identifiable as a Honda.

Instantly i.d.s it as from the period you want to convey...i'd stick with the Honda tank too
Check out Dirtshop Thailands site, they have a roadracer with one of those tanks on...looks real metro/retro
