BultacoMacca.
I reckon it can be hard for some exriders to repeat history.Once they get through that comfort zone its all go   :P
Graeme Smythe and Bronya where pretty chuffed about the whole scene and really enjoyed catching up with so many people from back in the day. :) plus were a friendly bunch.

Who won the Bultaco Quiz questions?  ;D

A huge thank you to all concerned, that was one Helluva weekend. The wild weather Friday arvo and evening certainly didn't auger well, but things just got better from there. Sunday was just brilliant, possibly the best vintage dirtbike experience I've had the pleasure of attending after CD1 (which remains the best because quite simply it was the first such event I'd ever gone to).

I think the venue was a worthy follow up to Connodale. What it lacked in facilities and permanent setup it made up for with a great natural amphitheatre and some fun tracks. The main track was so much fun - it reminded me of the sorts of tracks we rode on in SE Qld back in the late 70s/early 80s. As did the weather on Sunday. The short drive home today just topped it all off.

There were plenty of great moments, but the highlight for me was turning some laps late Sunday arvo. The cheapie RM250 wouldn't run too well Saturday but with some jetting work and the warmer conditions I got it running on Sunday. Not great but well enough to ride.  So there I was punting around a dusty, rutted, loose track in the waning sunlight with the warm afternoon air giving that slightly surreal effect - does it get any better?

Dave’s fine, he will live to crash another day.
Reckons he doesn’t know what happened, he tells me the Maico is really stable but he got in a big tankslapper that popped his shoulder out when he landed.
Bulk pain but much relief when the Docs managed to pop it back in.

It was a major disappointment for me, while driving him home on Sunday it didn’t matter how many potholes I hit it didn’t seem to bother him so stuff him, once I got him to Holbrook I made him drive the rest of the way.
Didn’t really get a chance to pay out on him as he paid out on himself all the way home.
He was back at work today under sufferance.

We both agreed though that it was a great event and the tracks (what we saw of them) were great.
I really enjoyed my 4 laps

Already looking forward to next year, come on Ken, stop being so slack and name the date ;D

just got home from my 3000 k road trip, a good follow up to conondale except for the amenities( not good), other than the wind, the sleat, the freezing bloody cold, they put on great tracks, loved the vinduro loop and CD9 lived, well done to all.
cheers Worms

I'd like to thank all the riders and spectators for taking all there rubbish to the bins provided. Walked round the pits after everyone had left collected 3/4 of a bin bag of rubbish Fantastic,  except the p%@*k who decided that after bringing a motor cycle rolling chassis to sell  leave's it there for us to get rid of!
If you didn't enjoy those tracks you need to find a different sport they where perfect. We had a ball on the sidecar out there, in fact I rode the wheels off every thing I had.
I'd also like to thank Manly club, Ken ,Geoff,Shoey, Reekys and Wayne for getting stuck in and making it happen there are others and they know who they are but those guys  where the main players there from start to finnish, Thankyou

What a great W/end.
Thanks to all involved in the organizing and running it.  The tracks were so much fun.
I can't really compare it to the last 3, it was different which was great.  The great bikes and the laughter was the same.
Bring on CD10.

Cheers Noel
