Yesterday I spent a good hour talking to Blair Harley, Maico,CCM,Cooper,Elstar,Grass track frame importer in the seventies from Sydney.Outstanding stories to tell.He knows the West Aust Gill family of course,due to their distridutating Maico efforts in the west.
Listened to Frank Stansbourgh telling us of his LYTO cottage industry visit story.I call it cottage as its down a little back UK lane with five worker making thousands of hand built alloy tanks.About five a week when its quiet.
Those craftmen that have worked in his shed have spread across the globe to create more equisite gear for all kinds of industries.
