Had these photos from Pete and Colleen for a few days now, but I've been a bit busy, first shot is of Pete's trophies with Bill Davis's Rickmann Yammie

" Bit over the top eh,will leave most with Bill."

I reckon this next shot is a beauty, and says it all about our travelling pair of friends !!

" After winning the 600 Vintage Am on Pat Ormans XL350, very fast bike Colleen could have won on it! "

Pete and Colleen would have to be the best pair of  overseas Ambassadors Australia has ever had !!

Great stuff, great trip and what a yarn !!

Nancy & I just got home from having one last dinner with Pete & Colleen Lee.We took them to a Hotel near the Airport that will shuttle them tomorrow for their flight back home.
No finer couple or Ambassadors of Aussie people can be found.
Plus he's a pretty fair rider and Colleen takes some great photos.
Can't wait until We come over next year or they come back over here.
Maybe they'll even let Dave come along next time although I'm not sure he can handle a Yamaha.
I hope they enjoyed the experience as much as we did.
Cheers.

Miss Alison !!!

Thanks for the concern.
Everything at my place is okay so far.
The fire is pretty close to one of our members, about 15 miles away but hopefully will not get his property. He says smoke is pretty heavy but that's it so far.
It has been pretty bad for quite a few people and animals here.Ya'll have your share of fires & floods from time to time as we do.
Again thanks for your concern.
We're glad Pete & Colleen made it home safely & we miss them already.
Take care.

Well Captain America,   its about time we got to see some more pics of your all conquering trip to the U.S.ofA.  Not to mention some stories.eg. whats it like to ride a flat tracker compared to a Hagon Jap etc. and would a top line longtrack bike hold its own with a flat track bike, same capacity eg. 500cc

Peter is away on harvest work, I will tell what it was like from his wife's perspective fast and scary, very happy to get him home in one peice. Being in a strange country with only each other and a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side (I didn't drive it) and Peter racing all those meetings (we had agread to around 3) was nerve wracking.I have watched him race since 1975 and at times he rode harder than he should have ie DuQuion to win and Colby after Chris Carr gave him advice on how to ride the groove thing (practiced terrible then 2nd in heat and won the feature).Even the half mile tracks were not in full veiw, hoping he would come around again, lap after lap. Overall, spectaular scenery and enjoyed meeting some lovely people.Colleen.
