Looks the goods, Pete. Good luck over there this year, hope everything goes well. We are off to Canberra next weekend for the Kings and Queens, Dirt Track Sat, Long Track Sun, they have done a hell of a lot of work on the track, Turn One looks fast. Oh, by the way, I see you have your Ball Pein clearance and fit adjusting tool in the pic.  :)

Very handy that ball-pein, went together well mate, little issue with a 3mm dowel that holds the ignition rotor on crank. The old one would not come out, no problem, I'll just go down to the hardware place in Whitney an get a 3mm drill bit and make one. Of course no metric drills in the USA, found a screwdriver at 3mm though. You would love it here Al.

Yes I did Mick, rebalanced the crank. Couple of different trains of thought with that. Have spent a bit if time reducing engine weight, it is now lighter than an XL350 engine.

Frustrating day in Bills shed today, could not get the 40mm to run properly, went back to the 38mm carb we have used here before, engine logged 11,020rpm on the digital thingo. Big engine speed, not the plan to run it that hard, just trying to get the jetting right.

They tried the wet weather slick, didn't work so well.

Start at Savannah, ended up second in the 500 and 6th in the Over 50. Tough day after falling the night before.

Volusia Half-Mile, Florida. We were talking with Mick Kirkness at Savannah, what a champ, maintaining his National number in the USA. Travelled to Volusia to see him race but messed up and arrived after the last race finished that arvo. Raced the next day and got 3rd in the 500 and 4th in the Over 50. Great track, not quite as quick as Savannah but got the gearing spot-on.

Love the banner in background, a bloke called Craig Estelle, former National number is too fast for me in the 500. Bike is good. The Over 50 scene is big but I am with the leaders.
