If they got $19,000 for a complete bike I reckon the wheel would be worth $2000 ;) ;D

So it exceeded my blue book value a bit ;D, but I guessed reserve, is there a need for a professional bike valuer out there.

Anyway CCM falls into same category as RH250, good trade mans bike if your trade happens to be dentistry.

some one wanted that bike badly.  I hope it is a good one and doesnt need much (any!) work.

There was a magnificent 74 CCM recently for sale in the UK that didnt sell for quite a bit less than is and it was all done and ready to go....

I am not surpirised really.  I located a 79 CCM500 about 12 months ago in great condition.  The owner wanted $15,000 and he based that on "more than a brand new WR450", which I though was reasonable.  Problem was he couldn't get it to run and for that money, that was a decider.

Goes with the CCM territory. I think the price of a WR450 is actually a good reference point for a bike that won't depreciate a cracker until they ban fossil fuels

All of these big dollar CCMs makes Jonesys 4k '78 model look to be a pretty good buy. ;)
