The original fork yokes are now available, but made thankfully from billet alloy ! No more shattering ! Same goes for the hubs. Don't even think of welding them.

Funny Rod Spry is just describing welding up a set of CCM hubs in the latest Classic Dirt Bike, he reckons they will be Ok for parading.

Yes Mark. That particular bike will be a show queen. It is owned by the Clews family. It would be ridable slowly for the odd parade I guess.

Stan I concour, known john since the early 80s and he seems to be able to locate anything! I bought my maicos from him, he had a quick cr250m, an ossa Phantom and i think he had a 125 monty of Michel Coombes.  Can't stand that Pussycat riding jumper, especially being a Saints supporter! If you see him around say g'day from me.

Just found the listing ........
If it goes for less than $10k AUS then you have a good deal. It looks to be all there.
Yes, CCM Britain (or Performance Engineering Services) can provide all the parts. The frame pic I posted was a new one Mark built for me a year or so ago. It is exactly the same as my original one. The original fork yokes are now available, but made thankfully from billet alloy ! No more shattering ! Same goes for the hubs. Don't even think of welding them.
I have just made a pair of fork sliders as per oe CCM. Not too much work, but looks loads better than Betors or spirious Jap ones.
The 90/90 bore stroke makes it a 580. Maybe a bit much for a 73 if it is built correctly.
I would love to buy it, but shipping to the UK would be stupid money. I keep telling myself "I have enough bikes".
You can never have enough ........

There is an event somewhere in Wiltshire later this summer Ian and there is a container coming over from Oz with a load of bikes in it specially for the event.  I am sure they could squeeze one more in there.....

Well still ticking bomb and I think it is about 2/3 of the way there. 15K would be quite reasonable for that bike.
