I'm thinking about compiling a commemorative booklet on the event ... would be A4, colour, maybe 60 pages.  Would take about three months ...

What an awesome weekend!!!!!!!    Thanks to all of 500-odd people there.   A special thanks to Mark Christopher, Bahnsy, Macca and Hoony for their hospitality.   And Thanks Daryl and Greg for the extraordinary trip down memory lane of Pursangs, the Floods and 70s Vic MX memories.   Insane fun!

Highlights - the family of Big Bill, the haul from drunks hill jump down into first turn at fig tree, haybales and fires at bar, coffee van, showers, riders briefings ... actually, too many things to list.

And Gigantor and Dennis D - you guys are NUTS!

fark, that is funny ;D Can I just say that the Marguerita mixing procedure was rather involved, and Firko was under great duress to keep them supplied to the punters ;D

It was great to meet you and spend some quality time at a fantastic event.
The picture book you showed me Saturday evening you compiled was a great walk down memory lane of life so far for our generation
I look forward to your thesis.
I hope you will come back soon.

Yep, that's caffiene free diet coke in that can I am holding ::).  You can also tell who the kiwis are and who is the guy that has spent the last 4 years of winters in Far North Queensland.  As far as the Firko / Mainline shot goes all I can say is it is shameless how low some people will stoop to get a ride on a matisse  ;D ;D
 I will address gear lever issues at some later stage when I have more time  ;)

Paul, While i was scrutineering the disco bike i also let the ace mechanic owner know that he installed the locking tab on his chain the wrong way around.
So i guess as i saw that and we all saw his dreadful gearbox woes and nobody actually saw your head in the shitter he gets to keep the trophy for another year. All in favour I. I. I. I.

Belly was just walking past, so Dj and i just said G'day. a real friendly guy.
when we asked what bike he was going to ride he really didn't know at that point so i naturally offered the services of the mighty MX125A Yamaha but only if he took off that Honda jacket he was wearing.
he was a bit unsure about that...

Thanks again Ali & Steve, you have been busy indeed putting that together. thanks for the bed and to Steve for helping me find it-I must have bumped my head when Popeye and I crashed.
That's a great shot of the Brad with all 3 wheels off the deck-one for the album for sure and he acquited himself well on the chair-much to his 'fan clubs' delight.
Geoff Udy did very well also since he hadn't been on one for twenty odd years, but the clincher for me was the lap with Roger Harvey, what a great laugh and what a sport he was-I can't imagine what he thought when he got to the top of the big downhill over the back but it was fantastic and I thank him very much for having a go.

popeye report shoulder broke in 4 places,broken collar bone,lacerated liver,bruised bladder,corked thigh, corked arse- i wont ask how he got that , i spoke to him this morning and is good spirits
