Sounds good Dan.
Despite the bitching, I thought that Broadford had the best format for an all-eras VMX Nats. Basically free practice on Friday, and then the regulation couple of laps practice on each race day morning.
This means that people can get a decent amount of practice & can learn the track, but don't
have to be there on Friday.
However, this leaves a tight racing schedule (particularly if you don't end up with combined races and/or you have someone needing an ambulance ride).
Really, I guess the point is that you WILL have to make compromises, and people WILL bitch that the compromise doesn't suit them
exactly .
The real challenge will be giving people what they want and still being able to run an event that actually works and meets the rules...
I have zero doubt that the HEAVEN crew have the skills and knowledge to run the event and run it well. With the extra man-power from the Lakes club, then we'll be laughing.
Running the event right at the beginning or end of daylight saving might be a way to extend the usable amount of daylight, and reasonably expect decent weather?
If you put in a successful bid, I will support it regardless.
