Hey Mark, that's what I did to find the photo of Ian, I'll get round to your pix shortly, as soon as I've worked out the bulk uploader thingy.

OK, while we are talking about the Hejisun 500, most of us would know the name came from two brothers who built the engine, HEctor and JIm SUNderland, here's a photo of the other Sunderland brother, Bob taken at a Condo Classsic meeting.

Bob Sunderland was always there at the early Riverina centre meetings, a hard trier, he had his share of wins and offs, but always came back grinnin'.
He later went into promoting Longtrack meetings at Wagga Showground and Yarragundry.

Havin' a yak with Lloyd Richards in the background is yours truly, red scarf an' all.
Many thanks to Lenny for the photo

An interesting look into the old ideas, it is supposed to be a 2 page spread.

Slides , the gospel according to Alf from 1963 is a beauty !! ," Leaping and Landing" !!!

His skeleton rear brake plate, brake shoes showing, is the same as the one fitted to my 4B Grasstracker so mine must have bee an early one, I think the rear wheel was from a BSA, sprocket integral with the brake drum. KB , that's a top shot of Ray Owen , I only saw him race once, at Bendigo Longtrack, awesome !!

Here's a shot of another Southerner, Garry Chasemore, I have a feeling the pic was taken at the Morgan Mile, but it could have been Romsey.

A few weeks ago, Mark, Slider 29, entrusted me with his collection of Short Circuit photos from the '70s, I'll admit to being a bit slack and idle posting them up but the pix evoked many, many memories of good times and a couple not so good, anyhoo ya get that, so here we go, be patient there's a shitload of pix so I'll hafta work through them from time to time, can't rush things ya know !!!

Here's a few from Young in 1976

Mark #29 with #114 Dave Mallett, and # 32 a rider from Albury Wodonga with his Dad,

Outta the Gate and #408 with the hole shot is Max Gill, I'm sure. Next to camera is a TT500 engined Hagon

Oh Yeah, I nearly forgot, second from the outside, red helmet, black leathers with yellow stripe is a young Lenny Norris

JAP power !! Mark with his JAP just doin' what a JAP loves to do !!

Here's a young bloke who burst onto the scene after purchasing his Godden Jawa from the touring English Test team.Griffith's Garry Harriman only knew one speed, flat out !!

Talking about flat out, Young was one of mine and Marks all-time favourite tracks, about a Mile around and ya reached speeds of 100 MILES an hour down the looooooong straight YEEE HAAA.
Foss

PS, Got interrupted by a phone call. is that called Postus Interruptus ??

There are many more of Mark's photos to come , so bear with me, as the ad says " But Wait There's More !!"

Alf's starting position would be interesting and I liked the insight into leaping & landing a Hagon, the Grasstrack's in England are a bit up & down.
Great photo's, thanks Mark & Foss.

can't believe that #19's justa TS185 Billy Dillow was riding,my ossas' clutch was slipping pretty bad,the only time i got close was change of direction through the esses, out of respect i only showed my f/wheel through there, then Billy up & retires, stating it was his final DT meeting, still a smooth operator, 8), :P
