Close but not quite the whole Cigar Mark ( Slider29 ).
It was 1970, Terry Poole collected the old toilet seat from the nearby tip and placed it over Billy's neck as the winners " Laurel's ".
Bill retained the seat the next year at Tivoli in QLD then got to return the privilidge to Terry at Amaroo in 72.
I know Kieth Davies won in 73 at Seymour but off the top of my head I have no idea of it's history from there on.
Billy's grandson won the same title in Bris just a few weeks ago at the age of 16, as a result Bill is on the search for the whereabouts of the famous seat.
It's probably in landfill somewhere but it'd be interesting to trace how far it was actually passed on down the line.
Spread the word.
Hey Sreve,
I think Tony Lacey may have the seat. I know he has one but I'm not sure if it's a replica or the real thing. I'll give him a call and find out.

Hi Everyone,I'll just add a bit about the "dunny seat "  Tony Lacey won the U/L title (+ seat ) at Seymour 1979,The next Year it was won by Ian Williams at ACUSA PARK,1980 in Adelaide. Maybe Taffy Williams would know where it is,as I don't think it was at Cameron Park in 1981 !  Taffy is on my Facebook friends list but nver uses it ,perhaps get in touch with Kev Patten. I will post a photo Julie took of Ian. Cheers Len Norris

No probs, Lenny

I just copied the image code from your photobucket album, the one with the Hejisun, and pasted it in the reply.

By the way,I've got a pic of yours of Bob Sunderland, at Condo, with me and Lloyd havin' a yak in the background, is it ok to post it up here ??. Rod McDonald sent it to me, somehow, Tagged it ,whatever that means !!!

I don't do facebook all that much, but I'll have a look for yours tomorrow

Yeah Foss, go for it mate, these old photos are better up for everyone to see instead of in a shoebox somewhere ,Its just easy to put them in an album of facebook then load them on the forum one at a time.I might get faster at it with a bit of practice Ha Ha . :-\
