Thanks Ian, given Billy lives in Qld that's probably the best place to start.
Landfill is still my bet.

Slidey....Those Amaroo shots would be closer to 1970 than 1960. Methinks around 1968.

Hi
Tamworth Motorcycle Club recently held a 66 year reunion and we have a public site at http://www.facebook.com/TMCCReunion which has a few dirt track pics from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. You don't have to be a Facebook member to view the pics.  There are about 400 photos (not all dirt track in 2 sections) on the site and it might bring back a few memories for you guys.     We had a brilliant night with over 180 attending.  A good contingent from Narrabri including Ron Campey, Ian Blair and Mark Willis and his mum also attended. We collected a heap of photos which have been  posted, but we still have some that we haven't posted but will do so in due course mostly from the 60s at Nemingha.
Cheers Derek Mc.

Close but not quite the whole Cigar Mark ( Slider29 ).
It was 1970, Terry Poole collected the old toilet seat from the nearby tip and placed it over Billy's neck as the winners " Laurel's ".
Bill retained the seat the next year at Tivoli in QLD then got to return the privilidge to Terry at Amaroo in 72.
I know Kieth Davies won in 73 at Seymour but off the top of my head I have no idea of it's history from there on.
Billy's grandson won the same title in Bris just a few weeks ago at the age of 16, as a result Bill is on the search for the whereabouts of the famous seat.
It's probably in landfill somewhere but it'd be interesting to trace how far it was actually passed on down the line.
Spread the word.
Hey Sreve,
I think Tony Lacey may have the seat. I know he has one but I'm not sure if it's a replica or the real thing. I'll give him a call and find out.

Yeah Pete please do, I understand he may not want to part with it but maybe we could borrow it for a few photo's. It'd be good if we could get a hold of it before next weekends King of Nepean meeting.
Cheers mate.

Hey Dexter, I rode at a meeting at Nemingha at a championship event I think it was about '61. There was a strong Merrylands club turnout for the event. A heap of us went in the back of a new EK Holden P/V.
My friend Fred Boyd won the Senior 'B' event after out riding Len Main and Harry Pine.
Would love to see some pics from about then! Cool!.
cheers pancho.

2 SA MX legends mixing it up at Easter Port Pirie easter longtrack about 1985.
Andy Haydon 15 riding for Cornell Suzuki leads David Footner 5 on another RM 250. they both went into battle for a SA MX title shortly after and Footie came out on top.  NICE TO SEE THE SLIDER WEDGE IN THERE NOT SURE WHO THAT IS.
