Reply to Freaky,
This was a very special one of a kind bike. I built this machine when I was in the UK riding speedway. It used the same geometry diamond as my speedway bike only using slightly heavier tube. The engine was a short stroke JAP 500cc. The suspension rear end was my design, the rear wheel was a double sided speedway hub with a disc that I manufactured. The caliper was a Hagon mechanical operated unit. The gearbox was an AMC box modified from 4 speed to 2 speed, only using 3rd and 4th with a neutral between them. The whole design of the bike was to keep the wheel base short and set it up with handlebars, foot rests, seat, etc. in similar positions as my speedway bikes. As I was riding 1 - 2 speedway meetings each week it was important to try to make the bikes the same handling. A chap named Keith Stevenson in the UK used to manufacture speedway frames, he was a good friend of mine and let me use his workshop to develop this bike. I would love to know where it is now. A chap from Taree purchased it from me, Chris Clark now deceased.
