reply to Godden 79    Iwas always under the impression the land at Wyalong was purchased from "Slogger " Thomas . Bruce Gooden was proud of the fact he " subdivided a suburban holding" against Council rules.    Tim Smith would know. (he was still around last August)    KEEP THE PHOTOS COMING... looking for Riverina area late 60s through 70s ( 761  old Mac Velocette , 125 Suzuki , 250 Bultaco , plus Spud and I on the 650 BSA chair ( old now... can't remember the number ))

Hey vandy, Don Howison wasnt just a"flat track" rider he was legend,as a young teenager i first saw this team race the poms at kempsey short circuit, very early 70s.i will never forget when they come out for practise,Don in those bright leathers/scarf at full noise, fullock out on the driveline,it,s still inscripted in the brain nearly 40 years later.a few years later when my older brother and i raced he ended up with one of dons bikes.a hagon /suzuki a very early ts/tm(before the L/M models) ,fully worked, righthand change,on A (got it off alan craig in newcastle)man that bike flew,we use to practice starts against a 890 jawa speedway bike we had and it would hang with it no worries,i will get a pic of it off the brother and try to post it up.cheers PS keep those pics coming their priceless
Hey, I remember that day at Kempsey just like it was yesterday. I would be keen to see the picture of my old Suzuki. I was Googling my name and found this forum and read with interest how no one knew who #14 was. How do I attach a photo? I am only new to this.

Welcome Don, my 17 yo daughter attaches all my photo's so I'm of no help there but we'll all look forward to your input. I think there is another topic on here somewhere showing how. It's always good to have someone on board who has been a part of it.
Cheers, Steve

If not mistaken, 809 is Herb Jefferson. Could it be Nepean Raceway?

That's one out of five thanks Don, Carl sent me a few more so I'll try to post them later today.
Nepean it is, taken at the pit end of the track not long before they put the sweeper ( Speedway ) corner in.
The Husky enthusiasts should know the guy in 5th.

You obviously worked it out Don, you're one up on me. My daughter has been out all day with the boyfriend, bless him. All I know is she clicked on too many things for me to keep track. Good shot that one.
