Glad you liked the shots , Wal, they weren't mine but came from # 800, Don Greig. I'll be talking to Don in the next day or so and I'll ask him if he has any of #883.

I particularly like the pre race shot at Boxers Creek as it shows the L hander off the end of the Highway Straight and the LH onto Pit straight although it shows far less than half of the whole track.
It was a terrific track to race on, I loved it !!

How cool were those dudes back then? Life was nice and simple, laidback,no red tape and they drank longnecks/king browns. Oh ,.... and rode 4 bangers. Aah nostalgia. This is all your fault Slides :D :D

Glad to have been of service Mark, there's still some good stuff out there I'm sure.
I thought the same thing Firko, always interesting to see how far back and how wide the famous names go, that is such a clear photo and the bike looks immaculate.
C'mon Ian, let me come over and help you with your photo's, there'd have to be a few of you in the lead? ;D

Yeah, see what ya started Slides !!!

Firko , I dont think Floyd Primmer is related to Greg, I have asked the question before as, some-where in my computer is a picture of, what I have been told is Peter Primmer @ Mt Ginn. When I asked Buzzard and KP the obvious question, they said no relation and that there were the two Primmer brothers in the Canberra club. Donny Greig would know anyway
I'll see if I can find the other pic

I never rode at Boxer's Creek, but I did go to a meeting there with my Dad in the 60's...Great track !!...my hero Mr Magic was riding, with his mate, the late Gordon Guasco.......however, the meeting was won by a visiting POMMY !!.....Dave Mitchell.....any photos of him ?
I go to Goulburn every February for The Australian Blues Festival, and as I ride by Boxer's Creek I always Dip my Lid to the Past Champions !! :)

Well, I couldn't find the file but I had printed an A4 copy so scanned that, ok here goes

I would say, going by the consecutive race numbers that they were brothers, however the rider on #80 looks suspiciously like the rider on the #79 Goldie, but then being brothers , I guess they would look alike !!

Oh Yeah, Alvin, you can still see most of the outline of Boxers Creek on Google Earth

Because Primmer isn't exactly a common name one would expect three riders with the same name, all riding short circuit (albeit different eras) to be related in some way. Maybe we need to check on www.ancestry.com.au/  ;D.

My thoughts exactly Firko, in Gunning , which EA and I travel through to get to Fairbairn, there is an upholsterer that calls himself " Primmer the Trimmer" I wonder if there is a connection ?
I'll ask Donny Greig as he was in the same club , at the same time as the Primmers.

Every time I go past Boxers Creek on the way to my sons place at Tumut I crane my neck looking for bits of the track.
Margaret says "don't tell me about that race track again!!!"
My 2nd fav. track after Nepean.
Had some great times down there, great track, great memories.
cheers pancho.
