Can't help you there Dave but gee that CZ's got a massive rear sprocket on it.
I was at that meeting when Ole rode.

In the interest of keeping our thread at the top of the page  ;D

Here are some more random pics I've found around the internet. This time I'm going with a classic faces of short circuit theme.

Cheers
Shaun

Interesting shot with rider 171. Looks like a maico motor, certainly sitting very high in the cradle when an under slung exhaust could be used. Raced a Hagon Maico for quite a few season and my motor tended to dig in at times. Perhaps I sold it too early and should have experimented more , but had based it basically on where the bully motors sat.Bugger it should have been a "keeper"

Giving Kevin Patton a bit of a hurry up there Dave, you needed to be going quick to do that.
I do remember the purple silks now, there was another guy who wore purple leathers around the same time from Orange, ? Morris, Rod I think, #883, rode a Hagon Jap.

You know your stuff Steve.. :D....it was Terry Morris from Orange......It's funny, that shot with Kevin Patton was taken during the rerun of NSW Senior Title in '74......in the initial race I was sitting pretty for a comfortable 3rd ( King Dirt was 4th !! ) when another Orange rider, Barry Collyer had a bad crash and the race was red flagged...... >:( K D won the rerun..........I came 6th.. >:(

Aha, Rod Morris raced Touring cars I'm sure.
Terry had a bike shop in Orange for a long time, maybe he still does.

Slides, Morris Motorcycles is still going in Orange, but wasn't there another rider that wore coloured leathers back then ?, I do know he wore white boots, Peter May.
