Noel Clarke Auction- Powdwecoating Bike Resto offer.
« on: November 13, 2009, 04:33:16 PM »
Triplex Coatings of Crestmead in suburban Brisbane has kindly donated a ''Bike Resto Package'' to the value of $500.
Triplex's Paul Smith has offered to blast, powdercoat and provide any other of their services to the highest bidder. As a rough guide to what you get for your 500 bucks, Paul advised me that it costs around $250 to blast, prepare and powdercoat a frame and swingarm. That leaves $250 for other coatings like aluminium spraying or..powdercoating a second frame. It's your call. Go for it chaps............http://triplexcoatingsystem.com.au/

Come on Queenslanders, this is a good deal going begging. Surely someone can raise the ante a bit!

Agree 100% Firko. This really is a piss poor weak effort on our QLD brothers behalf.

At this price, it's a bargain and worth the shipping cost from Adelaide to have them do it, so I'll bid $200.00.

P.S. Is there a time limit to claim it? I haven't got a bike yet................   ::)

Settle down Tony. You could have at least toyed with me for a few days. Anyway compared to what the Q Landers are now going to whale in with you and me have no hope.

We'll see...........  ;)

I'm serious though. A couple of hundred to ship a frame there and back and it's still cheap.
Plus it's a little step closer to Noel's chair.  ;D

I can't believe nobodies going for this. Am I missing something? Is it a Queensland thing I don't understand?

They'll wake up soon.

I don't understand it Tony, I really don't. There are a lot of Queenslanders on this forum, they all seem to be building something or the other, the deal is really good one yet..........silence. Surely somebody north of the Tweed needs a powdercoating or auminium coating for their bike.

I think if it was paint a lot more people would be bidding. My guess is that the powdercoating is not too popular ???
