I'm a keen VMXer, love Motocross and my club Heaven VMX. I plan to stand for a committee position for 2019 and if I am successful will work with the committee with whatever influence I have to add as much enjoyment as possible to each and every club weekend ride/race meeting for all VMX fans. If you once did race but don't now I'd like to know what would bring you back?

The OzVMX Forum and Facebook Group page is all about enjoying the fun of old dirt bikes and preserving the history of this great sport we all share. The annual OzVMX Resto Expo is an opportunity for all of us to get together in a relaxed and naturally beautiful environment at an Australian Iconic location and enjoy the sport in the way we choose.

If you have a few bikes in the shed, bring them along, we want to see them all on display

If you want to have a relaxed ride without the intensity of racing, there will be 2 tracks to ride on including the cruisy grass track and for RE3 a tamed down variation of the Famous Dargle Motocross track.

If you just want to camp on the riverbank and bench race with your mates the location is perfect for that as well.

Live music both nights and plenty of great food on sale.

The forum is here to stay boys. I have no plans to do anything but keep it going. No need for ads to fund it. I'm using proceeds from the OzVMX Resto Expo to cover the forum running costs. I'll see what I can find out about posting images. I have tried Imgur after asking Dennis what he is using and it works great. Thanks for hanging around

On my 79 RM400 i fitted Works Performance Shocks...just happened to be the long lost days of the Aus dollar being higher than USA,,,so yes a $500 pair of shocks can work,,,,i was so impressed with the feel of the rear end i have fitted to my RM370 and TM400 Tim

Agreed. The Works Performance Shocks are excellent feeling shocks.

Australia's first Supercross. I think it had to be late 78 at Parramatta Speedway (The Speedway by the Freeway!) I was racing my Suzuki RM400C. It rained and was as slippery as ice. What's your memory?

Since the conversion of Photobucket to a paid site displaying images has been a sore point in this forum. Dennis Vinduro has found that www.imgur.com works well which we at OzVMX HQ have begun to test ride, so give it a try. We'd love to see your pics

General Discussion / Broadford Bike Bonanza 2018

Just did the run down to Broadford for my first bonanza. You Victorians are totally spoiled with that complex and yet again NSW is behind the times and our local government has NFI! Was great to ride around the Broadford MX Track again although last time I rode it in 82 it went anti-clockwise but it still felt familiar and brought back great memories. I was told attendance numbers were approx 5000. Pretty impressive numbers. Attended Rosco's Mini Reunion Dinner and mini Show n Shine which was a blast with a lot of great people there. Crumpy came and put on a show at the Short Circuit track and even though he was obviously riding at 70%, his 70% was still a thrill to watch. Those old short circuit guys are fun to watch and they are as tough as nails. Watched the road riding for a while on what I thought was a beautifully undulating road circuit with great vantage points. All in all a good spoil of a weekend for me and I highly recommend it.
