I was hoping GMC was making them, but seems not for this model.

Did you ask him? He made a full system for my IT250D.

General Discussion / Re: All electric soon ?
« on: June 09, 2019, 05:59:21 pm »
I doubt it will go electric as it will take tinkering away, there wont be any messing around with gearing and sprockets etc, or engine mods, every bike will be the same.
There already are performance after market mods for electric cars. Better batteries and battery controllers that allow higher currents. Different mapping of accelerator pedals with switchable maps.
One of the guys in our electric vehicle club has bought a Zero SR road bike that he is improving the performance of.
The race car guys in our club build insane vehicles that have been thrashing the fossil cars that they compete against.

What is the inside diameter of the fork tube? You might be able to use one of these cheap valves.

I have a valve here I can measure for you.

that link was an interesting read, think ill go with fitting an it175d/e/f motor with an yz close ratio box.it will  be good for hacking around the old half mile longtrack hereand easy to chuck around
The IT175D/E cylinder will be better for longtrack due to the extra power.

Tech Talk / Re: Needle jet shroud height changes? Mikuni VM38.
« on: October 12, 2018, 09:02:26 pm »
The shroud is 8mm on a VM38 and 4mm on a TM38.
General recommendation is to add 4 to the number when going from VM38 to TM38. So P-2 becomes P-6.
I think the 8mm shroud is only that tall to increase suck through the nozzle at low throttle openings which is where the VM performs poorly.
If you fit a UFO slide stuffer in the VM38 you won't need the 8mm shroud because it will suck harder.
One bike we fitted UFO to we were able to solder up the pilot and it ran fine because it could suck enough fuel through the nozzle at idle. (VM38 with 8mm shroud).

I also bought the latest ADB but I didn't interpret it badly like you did.

Tech Talk / Re: dt or it175 cylinder sleeves?
« on: November 07, 2017, 09:42:40 pm »
You shouldn't need the big intakes. You can open out the inlets to take NSR250 reed blocks.
Tyga do them for a reasonable price with the HRC stuffers. Buy them direct from Tyga. http://tyga-performance.com/product_info.php?products_id=39
They will flow enough to fit Keihin PWK35 Air Strikers.

You don't need 350cc. Done right the TZR250 engine is great. If you must have 350cc then just stick a 350 powervalve engine in it.
The two DT175 cylinder idea is a bad one. You will waste money and end up with a gutless heap of shit.
