If I was to paint my tank two tone how do you blend the paint without the rise in the level to the next colour do you just spray clear over it as like a filler to cover the level.jimson

Clear coat the tank after 2 toning then after drying rub it back with 1200 and clear it again. Be carefull not to rub through the clear or you'll have to repaint it. 2 pack or acrylic?

pinstriping can sometimes be of assistance also Jimson but you'll still have a ridge to contend with :-\

If it's 2 pack you can do it in a couple of applications and skip the Buff at the end if you're lucky.

Yeah i know, I tend to be a bit fussy. The number of clearcoats depends on the edge your trying to bury.
A couple of coats is often enough but if your playing with flake and the like you need more.
