seeing as I've collected more than a few ol' TS250's I've been toying along the line of a non era specific '71 rh250 look a like. You know, '71ish black motor, mudcatchers, plain yellow tank with Suzuki S on the sides rada rada rada..but in all the photo's I've ever seen of restored or replica RH71's not 1 shows the original inch wide black centre stripe that runs down the middle of the tank actually it's black with white on either edge to be factual but it seems this racing stripe has been lost in history as I can't recall seeing an RH71 since that has it

these are the stripes I talk of that are nowhere to be seen anymore..my pre'70 project will most certainly have them

The stripes are not black but rather are green with white strips.

EML comparing the front plate colour to the tank stripe on the bike beside in the same photo, they definately look black to me quite possible they may have been dark green but all the images I've seen including the 2 posted above that I stole directly from the 1970 movie 'Sometimes Racer' would have you believe black. Would you have a better picture maybe? that's Joel and Sylvains' bikes by the way..not 'production' models

sorry peoples, I know it seems a dumb topic but I want to try and build something to look 'loosly' like the '69 pictured below out of some leftovers from the pending RL/TS/TM250 projects I need to get out of the way first fact is I reckon I enjoy putting these bitsa things together as much if not more than riding them

Almost Dave....Olle Pettersen took the Cheney frame to Japan and they copied it almost exactly, making it even lighter.
