Sending off my entry tonight. Just been out to the track and walked the whole thing. Sure is different to the old one, with some very neat sections. Especially the big sweeper after the canteen which is now more open and faster than before. The old uphill/downhill section still is uphill/downhill, just in different directions with some ripper corners. Jumps are big but all have step-ups, which for me at least will be handled by just riding the first bit then jumping the jump proper. The 40 gate start looks good, what a shame there won't actually be that many Pre 78 125s on it...  I have no idea what it'll be like to ride, but it's big, wide, fast and different. Didn't see no 84 Mazdas stuck on any of the jumps tho, so Dennis must have got round OK.

Can't wait, bring it on!!

Sounds like a pre 90 track to me. I checked the specs on an 84 Mazda and technically it would put you in into the pre 90 category not pre 85. Unless of course your wheels and drivline were rivited on, then you could "drive" down to pre 70.

Yesterday the guy in the little Mitsubishi truck wasn't having any probs with the jumps, but he did bog it down in one of the loose sections. Dunno how old the thing was but admittedly it wasn't Pre 85. Still, it only had short travel shocks and those little wheels, so...

It'll be interesting to see how these new 'loamy' bits hold up. They look super grippy right now, I can just see me slamming the RM into one of the turns, dragging the bars in the sand and blasting out, just like Bubba... err... Gaston I mean. Of course, the fact I have never leant a bike more than 5 degrees off vertical *might* work against me but hey, ya gotta start somewhere. Right? Right.

I'd pay money to watch Damo ride the sidepiper, how funny would that be.

That's a challenge. Problem is, I got a reminder from my accountant today so I'd better pay that before I pay Damo for some comedy relief.
