What Models of suzukis had twin leading shoe brakes? was it only the 84 RM 125/250/500?
i have seen this photo which is a 81 PE 250 and it has this brake set up which obviously is not standard. the hub looks like it is the original
PE hub but it might be RM 250/400 N/T but the hook on the axle suggests to me its still the original 12mm PE axle so hub probably is too.
its a bit hard to tell if this is some how a modifed PE brake plate or its a RM N/T brake plate.i have looked at my PE plate and the position of the
cam but it doesnt look the same as this photo and i dont see the speedo cable comming out the top, so maybe this is a modifed RM 250/400 N/T
brake plate in the PE hub which of course would require a sleeve to reduce from 15mm to 12mm. I wouldnt mind doing the same thing but it would be good to be able to do it using suzuki parts or work out how this one is done. Do any late model DR 500's have twin leading shoe front brake?
just did some looking and im very sure its not a modifed PE brake plate. Maybe its a off a TS 250 or DR/SP?
and im trying to find left side photos of some RM's. every brochure i have is of the right side!
looking at this pic. i think i can see a part where the speedo cable would come out the bottom, so that rules out it being a modified rear brake plate i reckon. its not looing like anything TS/DR/RM either so far. Maybe its a Yamaha plate? it certainly looks to be an un modifed plate apart from maybe the second pivot. It has that over laped edge on the bottom of the hub edge and thats in the normal place. i cant think of any suzuki that has a plate like this though and has the speedo cable out the bottom. road bike brake plate maybe?
