Thats interesting about the swingarm. Wheelbase was supposed to be 53" on 125 cf to 54" on the rest.

Hello Russ,
The other one is under way now and should be going soon, just have to split it to get the rag out of the big end! It must have been meant to be as I was told a TM/TS 400 piston would go straight in, but thought where am I going to find one of them? A trip to the local wrecker to sought through some used pistons and low & behold a NOS .5mm oversize Suzuki TM 400 piston & rings. $80.00 later and the cylinder is being bored now. I have everything I need to get the bike on the track and hope to have it ready for one of my "sponsored" mates to ride at the Wonthaggi social day in mid March. Go the big green!
Cheers,
K

Interesting too that the ID # (2036) for 74 SC125 is same # as for 74 WR175, which probably means you could bolt a 175 top-end on it if you wanted to - & could find one.

H'shot, I wasn't suggesting that (perish the tho't) - but it could be a useful option for vinduro as a 175 if you so desired

I have an SC 125 which I was racing last year until the rod snapped in half and went through the front of the cases. Apparently there was a faulty batch of rods made. My bike runs on methanol which helps it leave Hondas down the main straight at Nudgee BMCC. It starts off the line in 2nd and wheel stands everywhere, I can't control the little beast. I'm waiting for a better rod and a new piston to run in the pre 75 125 this season.

Cool little project Holeshot. I agree with Dave getting more of everything different out on the tracks - it's meant to be VMX FUN for most guys and gals so the greater variety the better. Who gives a shit if you come first or last  ::)

Where would we be without Michael aka bigk - one 440GP Maico and VR250 Monty heading to Sydney for hours of fun for the whole family !!! Well at least for my son and I  :D

Anyone have a good set of 75 250CR Husky cases to spare??? Mine are toast with a totally rooted but the rest of the bike ain't too bad. Footpeg mount on one side of the original frame is a bit shitty but that should be fixable?

Err, I have a good set of '78 Husky cases. They are virtually identical to '74 CR250 mag except for and extra mounting position at the front, which could easily be removed if need be, so maybe similar to your '75. They might be of use if you get stuck.
Cheers,
K

Thanks Mick

I'll call you tomorrow, and in the meantime see what the '75 engine set has on them. Who knows, maybe they are like the 78's ??? Funnier things have happened !!!

Cheers for that

I would like to see at a pre 75 vintage race meeting one day a line up of 125s in the 125 class, and poeple on the fence would notice honda, yamaha, husky, montesa , kx, zundapp, rickman ?, bultaco, all era, it wouldn`t matter. or even a batman.
