Tip.
Dont mess about with useless GP doctors and rubbish slings. Go straight to surgeon and get it plated. ;) Oh and get you neck checked. HVI can crack you neck too. Believe it, its well worth checking. :)

yea snapped mine once going over the bars on a CR125M. ouch@! I knew I done some damage but I never realized what until I tried to pick up the bike..PHARK! :o :'( I abondoned the bike and walked home knowing full well a hospital trip was imminent. The good news is you'll rarely break it in the same place again :-\ hope you're on the mend soon mate ;)

I hammered both collarbones when I rode the infamous Lobito into a drainage ditch while tapped out in top gear at Terry Hills back in 1970. I Dislocated my left shoulder and lost a couple of teeth as well. The shoulder still occasionally gives me a tinge on really cold days or when I sleep awkwardly. I agree with Quickys advice, get to a specialist for a proper repair. Get Well soon Caps.

Just a thought too make life easier in the future, don't whinge, sigh or complain to your wife/partner,cause all they are going to say is SELL IT/DON"T RIDE THEN  :-\

The surgeons will operate in about ten days ,when the swelling goes down, just to put you thought all the pain again. ;D

Take plenty of anti inflammatory tablets.
Remember always smile around the misses.

Take it easy and hope it knits well

Best is in the West !!

Bad news and luck Capps , agreed with others get it seen to by a specialist.  Part of my eldest sons collar bone had impacted into his spine , results if this had not been seen by a specialist could have been horrendous. Mind your this was five days later when he was blue grey in the face choking from swelling and partial paralysis... this was not picked up by GP. Get well mate! maybe carefully.. look to some of your projects ;)

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

that is good news, mine had the overlap like YZhilly but I was a wee nipper and 16 at the time . It was 3 only weeks before I was back on the bike and 2 weeks before I was back at work so as I could meet the repayments on the RM400 I'd just bought. Fortunately I've always been a quick healer but I wouldn't particularly like to test out such healing prowess again at this age! I can still feel the pain from it and like Firko I also get the occassional ache in the cold of if I sleep in a weird position. The figure 8 sling is good for getting out of not wearing your seltbelt tho! ;D (as if you'd really want to!) I got pulled over driving my brothers HX wagon for not wearing the belt, showed them the xrays and the figure 8 sling and they let me go on my way no problems at all..I was only 16 remember..no licence check! my lucky day!! kinda.. :D

Thats good news. (No surgery and associated risks)

Take care and Take it easy and it will knit and you will be as good as new. (Physio will be very important when you prgress to that stage)

yeah, thats the bugger of it Caps, the waiting. Well worth it though, my first break (ulna) had me whinging for a week that I couldn't regulate the clutch evenly. turns out the sprain my mum (nurse) told me would heal in time is later x-rayed and subsequently plastered, well putting up with poor clutch control was bad enough but not being able to grip the bars just wasn't on at all! within a week I had decided to soak off the cast in the rain barrel and live with the occasional stall, and avoid too much air time, but now the bone has set with a bump that aches from time to time. The moral of this story, try to avoid too much air ;D.
